Training & In-Services

Well-trained administrators and staff members are more likely to recognize situations and circumstances that may present potential liability. Training is an essential component of an effective legal risk management program. The Education Law Group lawyers are experienced trainers who regularly conduct seminars and in-services to keep clients current on legal issues.

Our lawyers regularly:

  • conduct training and workshops for teachers, administrators, and school board members;
  • provide legal updates at school board meetings, administrative retreats and staff in-services; and
  • participate as panelists and presenters at regional and state conferences and meetings of educators and education lawyers.

Training sessions and workshops are interactive, providing participants an opportunity to learn through the discussion of issues, operational tools, and practical applications. The sessions include content focusing on current trends and liability issues, relevant examples from actual cases and experiences, and procedure and policy recommendations, as appropriate. Commonly requested seminar topics are listed below. The Education Law Group also customizes training sessions as part of serving client needs for tailored risk management.
